Description: This is a project I did in my garage in March 2020 during the start of the Covid pandemic. It was meant to be my final for my theatre class and performed in an actual theatre. However, due to circumstances, I had to adapt. I learned that elaborate equipment and materials aren't what makes theatre. Instead, it's the story and how I choose to tell it. For example, professional theatre lighting turned into an LED strip, mosquito killer, and a few button lights. Another requirement was that it be one take which is why my family became my crew and operators.
Concept: I devised this piece based on the capacity of the limitations of my surroundings. It eventually developed into a story about escaping one's own reality and becoming trapped within our dreams. In retrospect, it was reflective of quarantine times.
