Show Description: a gripping drama based on the life of Alan Turing, a British mathematician and codebreaker who played a key role in cracking the German Enigma code during World War II.
PROJECTIONS PROCESS & CONCEPT
Projections were twofold: a moving clock and a world of shapes resembling furniture/architecture.
CONCEPT: SILHOUETTES
All projections represented locations in which the story took place. These were shadows of furniture and rooms. They were created by recording silhouettes of miniature representations of the furniture on a bedsheet.
CONCEPT: THE CLOCK
The story is in a non-chronological order. As we move through Turing's life we go back and forwards. The clock projections did just that. This was created through a mixture of a miniature clock and hands animated in adobe after effects.
