Concept: Lighting is not an aid to see but rather to feel. I believe that the darkness and shadows present on an actor’s face tell a greater story than the full beam of light and glory. I designed tunnels of colored side lights through which the actors would move and project shadows onto each other. These shadows reflected the themes of demons, betrayal, and blame in the story.
